Malcolm ruled out
Arbroath will be without skipper Stuart Malcolm for their clash with Second Division leaders Cowdenbeath.
The defender is suspended as second-placed Arbroath look to close the gap on the Blue Brazil to one point in the race for promotion.
Injured duo goalkeeper Michael White and striker Jordan Elfverson remain on the sidelines and defender Beau Busch is a doubt with a knee complaint.
Manager Paul Sheerin does not believe the clash is a must win for his side's title hopes.
He said: "This would be a great game to win but not in some do or die way. The gap is only four points at the moment and what I would say is that I do not want the gap to get any bigger.
"A draw would still keep things really interesting but we will be going out for a win as that is when we are at our best."
Cowdenbeath expect Lewis Coult and Marc McKenzie to shake off knocks.
Not such good news for the Blue Brazil is that player/manager Colin Cameron remains out with a medial ligament injury.
Thomas O'Brien is also missing through a foot problem, Lee Makel is absent due to a virus and David Cowan is ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Cameron is adamant that nothing will be decided in this encounter saying: "It would be great to get open up a bigger gap but there is a lot of football still to be played.
"We were excellent in the first half against Albion Rovers in midweek when we scored three goals and we will need that same level of performance again."
All-square at Gayfield
Arbroath and Cowdenbeath shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw between the Scottish Second Division's top two.
Cowdenbeath's start was disrupted when Scott Linton replaced the injured Joseph Mbu at centre-back.
Arbroath, who would go just one point behind Cowdenbeath at the top with victory, went ahead when Chris Innes rose highest to meet Gavin Swankie's free-kick and head home.
The Blue Brazil responded in the second half as Jon Robertson played in Marc McKenzie to slot home the equaliser, his eighth of the season.
Linton was then sent off for foul and abusive language as Arbroath sought to snatch a late winner against 10 men.
But The Smokies never mustered anything that threatened to deny Cowdenbeath a well-deserved point.
