Clyde to face different test
Arbroath look set to start with a very different line up against Clyde to the one that took the field in their last match a fortnight ago.
Defenders Mark Durnan and Stuart Malcolm, along with striker David McGowan, are fit again and midfielder Jay Shields is available after serving a suspension.
New signings Paddy Deane and Ross Chisholm are also included in manager Paul Sheerin's squad, although Jordyn Sheerin and Robbie Ross remain out, while striker Steven Doris is missing through suspension.
Sheerin said: "Our home form has been better than our away form so hopefully that, plus the break coming at a good time for us, will see us grab three points."
Clyde make the trip with defenders Graham Girvan and Ross McMillan available after suspension, but Ian Gray, Marc McCusker and Willie Sawyers have been ruled out with injury.
Summer signing Hadyn Cochrane has been added to the travelling party, although a lack of games may see him being unused.
Bully Wee boss Stuart Millar reckons the match involves two sides that have not lived up to the bookmakers' tags of promotion favourites.
"Neither us or Arbroath are where people predicted us to be at the start of the season," said Millar. "But we will both want to end the first quarter with a win.
"Spirits at the club are good after a draw with Elgin a fortnight ago where their goalkeeper got the man-of-the-match award."
Swankie the hero for Arbroath
Gavin Swankie's late goal gave Arbroath a 3-2 win over bottom-placed Clyde in a bad-tempered clash.
After a goalless first-half, Clyde took the lead on 48 minutes when Nicki Paterson scored from close range before Swankie drew Arbroath level ten minutes later with a neat finish from 12 yards.
An action packed final ten minutes saw Stuart Malcolm score from 30 yards to put Arbroath ahead before Alan Lithgow responded from close range to make it 2-2.
Ross Chisholm was sent off on 86 minutes after receiving two bookable offences before Swankie hit the winner two minutes later heading in from 12 yards.
To make matters worse for Clyde, Neil McGowan was given his marching orders in the final minute of the game for serious foul play.
