Table topping Arbroath are not in the best of shape for their clash with Albion Rovers.
The Gayfield men will be without midfield pair Ross Chisholm and Josh Falkingham through suspension, while injury will rule out defender Alan Rattray.
Player/ boss Paul Sheerin is also a major doubt with a calf problem and with full back Marc McCulloch leaving for East Fife earlier in the week, Sheerin's resources are stretched.
The Red Lichties player-boss said: "We are not in the best of shape, however the players that come in have the chance to impress in a game that looks like being really meaningful in the Championship race.
"I would expect Albion Rovers to go all out to try and wrestle top spot away from us."
Third placed Albion Rovers will be without on-loan Motherwell midfielder Steven Lawless for the trip through injury.
However, they have received a boost with striker John Gemmell being declared fit after picking up a knock against Elgin last weekend.
Coatbridge boss Paul Martin reckons that the game at Gayfield will tell him just how good his side are.
He said: "Arbroath are top of the table and therefore a yardstick to be compared to.
"I will know after this game if we are in the hunt for the Championship or the play-offs or something else."
"Arbroath are a good footballing side and I would like to think we are as well so it should be an intriguing contest.
Gaston off as Arbroath cruise
Arbroath stayed at the top of the Third Division after a 3-0 win at home to 10-man Albion Rovers, who missed out on the chance to overtake their opponents.
The key incident came in the 66th minute when Albion goalkeeper Derek Gaston was dismissed for a foul in the box on Gavin Swankie.
Paul Sheerin slotted home the resulting penalty to make it 2-0.
Swankie had given Arbroath the lead with a 12-yard strike from Paul Sheerin's pass from the left in the seventh minute.
The match remained in the balance until the red card with John Gemmell going close for Albion six minutes before the interval.
Swankie scored his second and Arbroath's third with six minutes remaining with a fierce drive into the bottom-right corner from 12 yards to seal the win.
"Will David Moyes be able to turn it around at Ma..."
