Aitken back for Annan Annan welcome assistant manager Andy Aitken back into their defence after suspension when East Stirling come calling. However, midfielder Chris Jardine is struggling with a neck injury and striker Sean O'Connor is a doubt with a knee problem. Kick-off cannot come quick enough for Galabank manager Harry Cairney as he tries to forget about a midweek horror show against Queen's Park when his side gifted three goals. Cairney said: "We need to bounce straight back and get that game out of our system. Queen's Park are a very confident side and the last thing we needed to do was give them opportunities to hurt us. "East Stirling will battle for everything but I want the three points to get a promotion push going again." East Stirling welcome captain Dean Richardson back into their squad for the trip. However, teenage full-back Darren Kelly looks set for a spell on the sidelines after dislocating a shoulder in the midweek defeat to Stranraer. Assistant head coach David Nicholls knows what his men must do to end a run of five straight defeats. He said: "Our defending needs to improve as some of the goals we are losing are pretty shocking. If we can keep things tight at the back we will build ourselves a platform to build on which will allow us to pass the ball about. "You can`t do that if you are losing goals, so we have to keep things a lot tighter than we have been."

Stirling effort from Annan Ten-man Annan Athletic remain in the hunt for promotion after coming from a goal down to beat East Stirling 2-1 at home. Second-half goals from defenders Bryan Gilfillan and Kevin Neilson cancelled out Kevin Cawley's opener. They achieved their comeback despite having to play the final 30 minutes of the match a man light after having Aaron Muirhead sent off. Following a goalless first half, striker Cawley put the visitors one up after 59 minutes before Muirhead was dismissed for violent conduct 60 seconds later. Their lead lasted only eight minutes though, with Gilfillan levelling the scores with a right-footed drive following good work from Ian Harty. The comeback was complete in the 76th minute when Neilson headed home from six yards out.
