Cox out for Annan Annan striker David Cox serves the final game of his three-match ban against Berwick. Fellow forward Sean O'Connor will undergo a late fitness test while defender Steve Swinglehurst and midfielder Steven Sloan are set to miss out with groin injuries. Last weekend's 4-0 win at East Stirling has re-ignited Annan hopes of a play-off place. Manager Harry Cairney said: "We have a bit of confidence about the club again after a disappointing run and we need to build on that. "If we win we keep the pressure on Elgin in fourth place and we meet them next week so there is plenty to play for." Berwick include fit-again winger Fraser McLaren as they look to keep their slim play-off hopes alive by securing their third win in a row. The Borderers do have concerns in defence with Chris McLeod and Elliot Smith still out and Michael Deland a doubt due to a knock Shielfield boss Ian Little said: "The play-offs are a long shot but while we can still do it we have to go out and look to get there. Annan will be thinking much the same although they will see a win over us as vital ahead of playing Elgin next week. "We are a young side but confidence will grow for the future if we secure some wins just now."
