Alloa duo fight flu to retain place Alloa entertain Montrose with midfielder Graeme Holmes and striker Kevin Cawley having fully recovered from the flu bug that cut short their involvement in last Saturday's 3-1 success at Queen's Park. The duo took part in a full training session with a fully-fit and suspension-free first-team squad on Thursday and manager Paul Hartley said: "I am pleased they are both available as they gave us a lot against Queen's despite being under the weather." Hartley is happy with the progress his side is making and added: "We have played four away games and won three, so it would be great to replicate that at home starting against Montrose. "We have quietly built confidence and a bit of momentum behind us." Montrose are again without central defender Jonathan Smart through suspension. Winger David Dimilta also misses out through a groin problem as the Gable Endies look to recover from the loss of two late goals that turned a 2-1 victory into a 3-2 defeat last Saturday against Annan. Links Park boss Ray Farningham said: "We were deservedly in front and looked good to see the game out until a cruel deflection allowed them to equalise. That took the wind out of sails and they capitalised once more. "If we play like we did for the vast majority of the game against Annan down at Alloa I am sure we can take something home with us."

Four-star Alloa battle past Montrose Alloa secured all three points as two second-half goals earned them a deserved 4-2 victory over Montrose. The Wasps had twice taken the lead in the first half, only to be pegged back by the resilient visitors. Ryan McCord got Alloa off to a flying start when he netted a penalty after just four minutes, but Alan Campbell scored from the edge of the area to equalise for Montrose. Alloa were back in front just two minutes later, a 20-yard strike from Kevin Cawley restoring their advantage, but again Montrose drew level when Martin Boyle volleyed home from close range. The Wasps managed to edge in front for a third time through Ben Gordon's 51st-minute header from six yards, and they sealed their victory when Cawley netted his second goal of the game from 18 yards with 11 minutes left.
