Worries for Shots boss Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth has a number of injury concerns for his side's clash with Oxford. Striker Danny Hylton (ankle) and defender Aaron Morris (knee) both missed the 1-0 defeat at Gillingham on Monday and are facing a race to be fit. Holdsworth also has doubts over centre-half Chris Doig and striker Michael Rankine after they limped off against the Gills with hamstring and shin injuries respectively. Shots welcome back midfielder Jamie Collins from his one-match ban, while defender Darren Jones serves the final game of his three-match ban for his dismissal in the abandoned game against Southend on Boxing Day. Defenders Troy Brown and Sonny Bradley have joined on loan and could feature. Oxford will be without defender Anthony Tonkin, who has a hamstring problem. Striker Deane Smalley is also unavailable with an ankle injury as the Us look to extend their unbeaten run to six matches. Tony Capaldi, who has yet to make his Oxford debut after arriving from Morecambe in the summer because of back trouble, came through 80 minutes of a behind-closed doors friendly against Bristol City in midweek unscathed. However, the former Plymouth and Cardiff midfielder will not feature in Wilder's matchday squad to face the Shots. Defender Adam Chapman played 90 minutes of the 5-0 defeat to the Robins' second-string on Wednesday following his return to injury, but is also unlikely to play a part.

Pittman inspires Us Jon-Paul Pittman struck for the second successive match to help Oxford to their first win in three npower League Two games following a 3-0 win over Aldershot in a first-half demolition job. Pittman, who scored in the 1-1 draw with Crawley on Monday, headed in Peter Leven's cross in the eighth minute and defender Michael Duberry swept in half an hour later to double the lead. The game was all but over in first-half stoppage time when Leven crashed in a third before Deane Smalley almost notched a fortunate fourth after the interval. Danny Hylton and Anthony Straker both went close for Aldershot before the hosts fell behind when Pittman headed home Leven's low cross. The striker came close to doubling the lead before Hylton headed over for the Shots, but when Leven's corner sparked panic in the Aldershot box, Duberry pounced on the loose ball to put the Us 2-0 up. Any hopes Dean Holdsworth's men had of ending their three-game winless run were extinguished in first-half stoppage time when Leven smashed in a third before Straker's clearance hit Smalley and cannoned off the crossbar in a tame second half.
