Match Preview

Shots move on from Marvin Aldershot will be without Marvin Morgan for the game with Oxford after the controversial striker joined Dagenham on loan for the rest of the season. Morgan has scored 25 goals in 77 league starts for the Shots - including 15 in last season's charge into the play-offs - but always looked likely to leave the club this month after he was disciplined this week. The 27-year-old was fined two weeks' wages and placed on the transfer list for comments he made on social networking site Twitter as well as being given a two-week ban. Boss Kevin Dillon will have Watford striker Liam Henderson available after he signed on loan on Thursday but Danny Hylton has joined AFC Wimbledon. Left-back Jamie Vincent returns from suspension and Dillon also hopes that winger Glen Little will have recovered from his back strain. Oxford's leading scorer James Constable may have to settle for a place on the bench. United boss Chris Wilder opted for the strike pairing of Jack Midson and Tom Craddock in Monday's 4-3 victory at Torquay and Midson took his chance by scoring a hat-trick. Wilder may opt to stick with the same duo against the Shots, meaning talisman Constable would once again be among the substitutes. Midfielder Sam Deering and defender Mark Creighton could be in the squad after returning from loan spells at Newport County and Wrexham respectively. Ben Futcher will play no part of returning to parent club Bury, while fellow defender Rhys Day has signed for Mansfield. Defender Leigh Franks is a doubt due to a hamstring injury.

Match Report

Craddock seals Us win Tom Craddock struck late as Oxford moved into the top 10 of npower League Two with a 2-1 win over Aldershot - their first ever league victory over the Shots. The visitors had taken the lead against the run of play in the eighth minute when Damian Batt advanced well down the right and swung over a wicked cross that Anthony Charles could only divert past his own keeper. The second half started in a similar vein to the first, Aldershot full of running but lacking any real end product. Aldershot continued to press for an equaliser but, with only seven goals at home all season, it was an uphill struggle - midfielder Luke Guttridge's long range drive the best they could muster. The Shots didn't lose heart and looked to have earned a deserved share of the spoils in the 76th minute when Guttridge stooped at the far post to scramble in Anthony Straker's left-wing cross. It wasn't enough however, and Craddock's low drive with just four minutes remaining squirmed under Jamie Young sending Aldershot to their fourth successive home defeat.
