Match Preview
Shots may go with new Guy Manager Dean Holdsworth will consider handing a full debut to new signing Guy Madjo as he continues his search for a winning formula at home to Accrington. Madjo signed from League one Stevenage on Friday and may be in contention, and Holdsworth may also hand full debuts to loan signings Charlie Collins and Josh Payne. Striker Collins and midfielder Payne arrived on loan late last week, with the former a second-half substitute in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Cheltenham. And Holdsworth may consider throwing the pair in from the off this time around as he looks to turn around a run of form which has seen the Shots collect just one point from the last 15 on offer, failing to find the net in any of those five games. Holdsworth has been hit by injury problems, with striker Michael Rankine (leg) and midfielder Alex Rodman (viral infection) - who had both missed the last two games - are now set to sit out for the rest of the season. Centre-back Chris Doig, however, has overcome a hamstring problem. Michael Smith and Liam Willis are in contention to make their Accrington debuts for John Coleman's side. On-loan Charlton striker Smith and former Wigan defender Willis joined the Reds earlier in the week. Coleman has no new injury concerns for the clash. Alan Burton remains a long-term injury absentee as he recovers from hernia surgery and Sean Hessey is still on the sidelines due to a hamstring problem. On-loan Everton defender Aristote Nsiala overcame concussion to take part in the 3-0 defeat to Barnet last weekend and suffered no ill-effects. Accrington have had to endure a week of speculation off the field with Coleman linked to the current vacancy at League One Rochdale, although the club confirmed no formal approach has been made for their manager.

Match Report
Shots still misfiring Aldershot have now gone six games without a goal as poor finishing saw Dean Holdsworth's men have to settle for a 0-0 draw against Accrington despite dominating the match. The Shots created numerous chances but they were unable to take any and put some much-needed daylight between themselves and the drop-zone. John Coleman's Stanley side, in their first goalless stalemate in 20 games, lost ground in the race for the play-offs after dropping two points but it could have been so much worse for them. Peter Vincenti should have put the home team in front just before the half-hour mark but crashed his shot against the crossbar. The diminutive Charlie Henry forced Ian Dunbavin to claw out a dipping cross from under his bar and also saw a deflected effort roll wide with the keeper beaten. Aldershot were nearly made to pay as Ross Worner did well to smother Michael Smith's toe poke early in the second-half. But Guy Madjo missed the chance of the game after 81 minutes as he snatched at a one-on-one shot, hitting the keeper at point-blank range. Charlie Barnett's shot from long distance went close with time running out but the game petered out into a draw.
