Injury and ban woe for Airdrie Airdrie's resources are stretched for the visit of Forfar, with Rhys Devlin and Stephen McKeown suspended and full-backs Craig Hill and Jamie Bain expected to miss out through injury. Diamonds boss Jimmy Boyle is demanding an improvement from his men following a disappointing showing against Alloa at the weekend when they lost 2-0. Boyle said: "Saturday was a major disappointment and we will need to play a whole lot better if we are to take anything from this game. "I will not stand for the lack of effort that I saw in that game. If we switch off again like we did in that game, Forfar are going to make it a really tough evening for us." Forfar boss Dick Campbell has a full squad to choose from as they seek revenge for a 2-1 defeat at Station Park back in September. The Loons are playing one of six games they have in hand over closest challengers Alloa, and Campbell is expected to make a couple of changes following the 1-1 draw with Alloa last Tuesday. He explained: "A few of the boys didn`t hit great heights last midweek so I will freshen things up for this one. "Airdrie surprised us at our place and I am determined that it will not happen a second time. We have the chance to convert one of our games in hand into points and consolidate a place in the top four."

Airdrie inflict rare defeat on Forfar Airdrie secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Forfar at New Broomfield, condemning their opponents to a first defeat in five league games. Despite a bright start from the home side, in which Ryan McCord had a long-range effort tipped over the bar by Scott Gallagher, both goals came in the second half. Ryan Donnelly made the breakthrough in the 49th minute when he converted Phillip Johnston's right-wing cross from close range. Ross Campbell should have equalised for Forfar in the 67th minute but his effort from just six yards out flew wide of the post. Scott Gemmill's 70th-minute header wrapped up the points.
