Airdrie without suspended Lovering
Airdrie will be without captain Paul Lovering through suspension for the visit of Brechin.
Youngster Tony Watt left the club this week to start his career at Celtic, prompting manager Jimmy Boyle to move quickly to sign Gary McKay-Steven and Andy Ferguson.
There are no injuries at the Lanarkshire club and the new-boys are included against a side that Boyle rates highly.
He said: "I had Brechin watched against Queen of the South during the week and the report I got back was that they are a very impressive side.
"They are favourites for this game but we will have a go at them and my guys will go out and give everything as they usually do."
Brechin will again be without defender Gerry McLaughlan and midfielder Charlie King.
Manager Jim Weir will select from the same squad that shocked Queen of the South in the Scottish Cup on Tuesday, although he does not want his men to dwell too long on their 2-1 win at Palmerston.
He said: "I want us to take confidence from that win but have our feet back firmly on the ground come kick off at Airdrie.
"They have given us two really hard games this season and their performance at our place was the best I have seen from a visiting side at Glebe Park.
"We had to work hard for a 3-1 win that day and I expect the same this time out."
Brechin strike late for point
Brechin earned a valuable point in their promotion push as they drew 2-2 with Airdrie.
The away side denied Airdrie the chance to take all three points with an equaliser coming in the 87th minute.
Both sides tried their luck from long range in the first half with little success before substitute Andrew Ferguson opened the scoring for Airdrie three minutes into the second half when he converted Edward Forrest's cross.
That lead lasted little over a minute, though, as Neil Janczyk scored an equaliser for Brechin direct from a free-kick.
Forrest then put the home side back in front six minutes later when he fired home from inside the box.
Forrest's goal looked like it was going to be the winner before Paul McLean unleashed a left-footed strike from 20 yards that sailed into the top right of the goal three minutes from time to steal a point for Brechin.
