Match Preview

Moore back in the reckoning Luke Moore could return to the AFC Wimbledon starting line-up for the visit of Plymouth. Moore proved his fitness with a late run-out as a substitute during Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Hereford following a six-week lay-off with a knee injury. Fellow midfielder Ricky Wellard has returned to training following a hamstring problem and could also be in the reckoning. Manager Terry Brown was critical of his side's defending at the weekend so may decide to shake things up with Brett Johnson and Callum McNaughton pushing for recalls. Striker Jason Prior is expected to be missing for another couple of weeks with a knee problem while winger Kieran Djilali and left-back Gareth Gwillim are still on their way back from hamstring injuries. Plymouth could include Warren Feeney and Onismor Bhasera in their ranks. Feeney has not featured for the Pilgrims since the 1-1 draw with Crawley on January 21 because of a calf injury. The striker is now nearing a comeback, although the clash with the Dons may come too soon. Bhasera has missed Argyle's last three matches after joining up with the Zimbabwean national team but could fit into manager Carl Fletcher's back four at Kingsmeadow. Fletcher wants his team to quickly forget their 1-0 home defeat to 10-man Gillingham last weekend and make instant amends against the Dons. He said: "Every game we go into we want to bring points back. Tuesday will be no different."

Match Report

Pilgrims climb out of bottom two Nick Chadwick fired Plymouth out of the League Two relegation zone by netting the winner in a 2-1 triumph at AFC Wimbledon. Onismor Bhasera put Argyle ahead after just 11 seconds and, after Jack Midson struck back for Dons just before half-time, Chadwick lashed in the 49th-minute decider. Plymouth got off to the dream start when, straight from kick-off, Durrell Berry's delivery was guided in by Bhasera's pin-point header. With Wimbledon rattled, the visitors nearly added a second six minutes later but Chadwick failed to convert Paul Wotton's free-kick from six yards. The Dons responded but Jason Euell's shot was deflected wide and Sammy Moore's powerful header cleared Jake Cole's crossbar. But their persistence paid off after 41 minutes when Midson glanced Moore's cross goalwards and Darren Purse's clearance was deemed to be behind the line. Plymouth started the second half in similar vein to the first as Chadwick combined with Bhasera and drilled past Seb Brown, before Luke Young rattled the crossbar. Substitute Billy Knott fired across goal and Midson shot wide as Wimbledon searched for a leveller but Plymouth held on to climb towards Football League safety.
