Match Preview
Balkestein set for Dons debut On loan defender Pim Balkestein could make his AFC Wimbledon debut when they host Dagenham. The Dutch centre-half signed a one-month deal with the Dons from Brentford on Friday. Winger Kieran Djilali is finally fit after being plagued by hamstring problems and although he is short of match fitness, he could be on the bench. Luke Moore has made two substitute appearances after six weeks out with a knee injury and is pushing for a start. Fellow midfielder Ricky Wellard is also close to returning after a hamstring injury but left-back Gareth Gwillim (hamstring) and striker Jason Prior (knee) are still missing. Boss Terry Brown must decide whether to recall club captain Jamie Stuart after leaving the centre-half out of the squad completely for the 2-1 defeat by Plymouth in midweek. Josh Scott starts a three-match suspension for Dagenham. The striker saw red during Tuesday's 4-0 defeat at Swindon and will now miss the trip to Kingsmeadow, as well as the games against Northampton and Macclesfield. Brian Woodall is likely to replace Scott against the Dons, with loan signing Josh Parker taking his place on the bench. Manager John Still has no new injury problems for the encounter, although Matthew Saunders, who missed out in midweek with an ankle problem, will be assessed. Long-term absentees Kevin Maher, Sam Williams and Peter Gain are still not ready to return to training. The Daggers' defeat to Swindon was their first in four games and they will be looking to put that right against a Dons side who are winless in seven.

Match Report
Djilali breaks Dagenham hearts Kieran Djilali scored the winner four minutes from time as AFC Wimbledon beat rock-bottom Dagenham 2-1. In a scrappy opening, Ben Reeves spurned the only decent chance for the Daggers when he volleyed over from the edge of the area after seven minutes. Reeves then stung the palms of Seb Brown from closer range in the 32nd minute before Brian Woodall sliced horribly wide after good work from Jon Nurse five minutes before the break. The visitors continued to threaten, Nurse volleying just over before Byron Harrison finally tested Daggers keeper Jonathan Bond with a firm drive as the half drew to a close. The hosts began the second half strongly and forced Bond into a superb double save after 51 minutes to deny first Jack Midson and then Rashid Yussuff from close range. And it was the Dons who broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute when Midson unleashed a rising shot from 25 yards which beat Bond with the help of a deflection. Dagenham poured forward in search of an equaliser, and it arrived on 83 minutes when Michael Spillane rose highest to head home Damien McCrory's in-swinging corner. But the hosts got the winner after 86 minutes as substitute Djilali beat Bond with a low volley after Yussuff's hanging cross eventually came to him at the back post.
