Match Preview

Double boost for Dons Christian Jolley and Luke Moore return to the AFC Wimbledon squad for the visit of Barnet. Six-goal striker Jolley missed last Saturday's goalless draw at Shrewsbury with a hamstring injury but has been passed fit. Winger Moore did not make the 16-man match-day squad at the weekend but assistant boss Stuart Cash has confirmed he will have a part to play against the struggling Bees. Summer signing Mat Mitchel-King is edging closer to fitness following a shin injury but he is unlikely to be risked just yet. Fellow defender Fraser Franks, fit again after a knee injury, is back from a loan spell with Hayes & Yeading and hoping to make his first Dons appearance of the season. Barnet will have a new-look defence. Boss Lawrie Sanchez has responded to last weekend's 6-3 home defeat against Burton by drafting in West Brom defender Paul Downing and Reading's Michael Hector on one-month loan deals. Sanchez can also welcome Darren Dennehy back into his defence after the centre-half missed out against Burton through suspension, while full-back Danny Senda is close to returning from a spell out with a groin injury. Striker Charlie Taylor is also set to be added to the squad after completing a three-match ban for spitting at an opponent against Aldershot. Taylor could take Lloyd Owusu's place on the bench after he was loaned to Hayes & Yeading.

Match Report

Dons and Bees share spoils AFC Wimbledon midfielder Sammy Moore smashed a second-half equaliser to salvage the Dons a 1-1 draw with Barnet and extend the struggling Bees' winless run to four games. Former MK Dons striker Izale McLeod had fired Barnet ahead in first-half stoppage time - to the frustration of the Kingsmeadow faithful - when he headed in Danny Senda's cross. Moore levelled just after the hour mark before McLeod wasted a glorious chance to consign last weekend's 6-3 hammering by Burton to the history books y firing over late on. McLeod served an early warning of his talents when he weaved through the Dons' defence only to run the ball out before Jack Midson responded by stinging Bees goalkeeper Dean Brill's palms. Barnet took the lead in first-half injury-time when Senda whipped in a pin-point cross and the unmarked McLead nodded home from close range. Wimbledon got their deserved equaliser after 63 minutes when Luke Moore threaded a delightful through ball for his namesake Sammy to hammer past Brill from 10 yards, before McLeod blazed a glorious chance over the bar.
