Match Preview

Cummings boost Cherries Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury will add left-back Warren Cummings to his squad for the clash with Oldham. Cummings has missed the last two matches after suffering with laryngitis but will be back on the bench. Rookie forward Danny Ings was dropped to the bench against Dagenham on Saturday after starting the previous 11 matches, with Joe Partington taking his spot, and it remains to be seen if Ings will be recalled. Young striker Lyle Taylor has been recalled from his loan spell at Lewes and will compete with Jayden Stockley for a place among the substitutes. Goalkeeper Jon Stewart took part in training with West Ham this week but should return to the Cherries in time to resume his role as back-up to number one Shwan Jalal. Forward duo Ben Williams and Steve Lovell (both ankle) remain sidelined, with Williams expected to miss another two weeks, while Lovell is still some way from full fitness. Midfielder Mark Molesley remains out with an ankle problem, and despite playing 90 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday he will not be fit enough for a return to first-team action for another 10 days. Oldham boss Paul Dickov is boosted by the return of captain Reuben Hazell. The defender is back in the squad after missing the last three games due a two-match suspension and a back strain which forced him to out of last Saturday`s 5-0 home humiliation to Peterborough. Midfielder Dean Furman completes a two-match ban and, thus, remains unavailable. Meanwhile, a virus has swept through Boundary Park this week, meaning other players could miss out. However, Dickov does not expect it to rule any of his players out of action as the Latics bid to bounce back from last weekend`s horror show. Dickov said: "We have already proved this season we are capable to going on an unbeaten run and we need to do that again."

Match Report

Dalle Valle`s debut delight Finnish striker Lauri Dalla Valle celebrated his debut with a stunning third goal which sealed a comfortable 3-0 win for promotion-chasing Bournemouth against Oldham. Introduced as a substitute midway through the second half, Dalla Valle - signed on loan from Fulham on Friday - let fly with a blistering 20-yard cross-shot into the far corner within 10 minutes of coming on. Bournemouth should have won by a wider margin but, boosted by a clinically-taken 20th-minute header by Danny Hollands, they wasted a string of first-half chances. Goalkeeper Ben Amos pulled off several fine saves, but Marc Pugh, Liam Feeney and Warren Cummings were all guilty of wasting chances. Straight from the second-half restart, Bournemouth doubled their lead - Michael Symes racing on to Pugh's pass to beat the advancing Amos. Oldham played with energy but seldom looked like breaking a goal drought which is now approaching 10 hours.
