Smith in line for Cherries debut Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe will include new signing Adam Smith in his squad for the clash against Carlisle. The England Under-19 international defender has signed on a one-month loan from Spurs. On-loan goalkeeper Jon Stewart will have to be content with a place on the bench while experienced striker Steven Fletcher is pushing for a start after returning from a heel injury. Striker Lee Bradbury and defender Stephen Purches haven't trained all week because of injury and are doubtful for the game at Dean Court. Striker Michael Symes is definitely out with shoulder problems and Tim Stephenson, who damaged knee ligaments in a reserve game last week, faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Carlisle boss Greg Abbott has no fresh injury concerns. Captain Paul Thirlwell continues to miss out with knee ligament damage while Danny Livesy remains a doubt with a groin problem. Mark Bridge-Wilkinson is also a concern with an ankle injury. Graham Kavanagh and loanee Ben Marshall are pushing for starts after scoring in the reserve team's 5-2 win over Stockport in midweek while Kevan Hurst also played 90 minutes following a groin problem and could make the squad. Cherries continue flying start Second-half strikes from Ryan Garry and Michael Symes helped Bournemouth maintain their blistering start to the season as the Cherries secured a convincing 2-0 win over Carlisle. After a goalless first 45 minutes, Bournemouth roared into the lead moments after the interval when defender Garry reacted quickest to a Marc Pugh cross to nod home from close range. The impressive Adam Smith - on debut after completing a loan move from Tottenham - helped the Cherries double their advantage just after the hour when he was brought down by Francois Zoko in the Carlisle box. Michael Symes made no mistake from the spot to notch his second goal of the season and put the game beyond the reach of an out-of-sorts Carlisle, who were limited to a smattering of half-chances as Bournemouth clinically closed the game out. The Cherries had chances to make it three, Anton Robinson squandering a decent chance with a tame header over from six yards, but the result - which firmly secures the Cherries' position in the early season play-off spots - was never in question.
