Double defensive doubt for Coleman Accrington boss John Coleman has concerns over defensive duo Leam Richardson and Kevin Long ahead of the home clash with Torquay. Full-back Richardson has missed the last three games with a groin injury and is unlikely to make his comeback against the Gulls. On-loan Burnley centre-back Long sat out the 3-2 midweek victory over Crewe and may miss out again. Coleman has no other worries and could name the same starting line-up following two successive victories, although winger Sean McConville is pushing for a recall after stepping off the bench against the Railwaymen before netting the winning goal just three minutes later. Young midfielder Alan Burton has joined non-league side Marine on a month's loan. Stanley will be attempting to win a third successive game for the first time this season. Torquay boss Paul Buckle has a fully-fit squad to choose from when he takes his side to the Crown Ground. Danny Potter is likely to keep his place between the posts following a five-game unbeaten run which has coincided with him taking up goalkeeping duties from Scott Bevan. The 31-year-old former Cambridge stopper has only conceded three goals in those five games, helping the Gulls to the verge of the play-off places. Lathaniel Rowe-Turner is also set to retain his place in the side, keeping regular left-back Kevin Nicholson on the bench. Winger Danny Stevens is pushing for a recall after stepping off the bench to score the goal that eventually earned his side a point against Cheltenham last weekend, while Ryan Gilligan and Eunan O'Kane are also available for recalls following recent substitute appearances.

Craney on mark for Stanley Ian Craney scored a wonder goal as Accrington beat 10-man Torquay 1-0 to make it three wins on the trot for the first time this season. A quick throw by Joe Jacobson found the midfielder 25 yards out and he turned and fired into the top corner of the net beyond Danny Potter 12 minutes from time. Stanley, whose manager John Coleman has been linked with the Bradford job, had been under pressure in the first half from the promotion-chasers. They had to rely on keeper Alex Cisak to pull off a string of saves, including a point blank one from defender Mark Ellis' header. But the turning point came on the stroke of half-time when Gulls defender Ellis was shown a straight red for clipping the heels of striker Terry Gornell as he charged clean through. The Reds made use of the extra man piling on the pressure and the Gulls, on a five-match unbeaten run, could do little about Craney's goal - his second in two games - as Stanley look to make a late charge for the play-offs.
