In attack, the former Sligo boss has hinted he may look to rotate, with all three of his frontline forwards already off the mark. On-loan Reading man Karl Sheppard scored the only goal at Roots Hall and was joined by Padraig Amond up top against Vale. The Irishman put Stanley ahead before half-time from the penalty spot, before James Gray marked his Football League debut by coming off the bench to seal the points. Elliott Chamberlain may make his debut when Exeter line up. Former Leicester striker Chamberlain agreed terms with the Grecians on Monday after fan group the Exeter Exiles funded the move. The forward, 20, may partner Alan Gow or Jamie Cureton in attack but could find it hard to break into Paul Tisdale's side. Cureton netted twice in Tuesday's victory over Aldershot while Tisdale has praised Gow's performances this season. Midfielder Matt Oakley is pushing for a recall having had to settle for a place on the bench in midweek. Oakley has been short of fitness in recent weeks having returned from injury but is now challenging for a starting role. Tisdale has no other new injury or suspension worries ahead of the trip.
