Stanley sweating on Turner
Accrington manager John Coleman will be hoping Chris Turner can recover from a knock in time for the visit of league leaders Chesterfield.
The midfielder missed out with an ankle injury on New Year`s Day as Stanley returned to action following a three-week break with a victory at rivals Morecambe.
Accrington accrued no more problems on Saturday and Coleman has an otherwise clean bill of health.
Changes are perhaps inevitable for a second game in three days. Among those players in the mix for a recall are defenders Leam Richardson and Sean Hessey and midfielders Ray Putterill and Luke Joyce.
The victory at Morecambe was only Stanley`s second in their last 10 league matches.
Chesterfield forward Dean Morgan is an injury doubt for John Sheridan`s side.
Morgan, who has recently been nursing a groin problem, lasted just 34 minutes on his return to the starting line-up against Stockport before he was forced off with another knock.
His anticipated absence is unlikely to be the only change made by Sheridan.
Two games in the space of three days might be too much for Hatters hat-trick hero Jack Lester and the veteran striker will probably be rested. Therefore, either Jordan Bowery or Scott Boden could be recalled.
Ian Morris, Jack Hunt, Craig Clay and Deane Smalley are other options for Sheridan.
Boden saves Spireites
Scott Boden scored an injury-time equaliser to help Chesterfield avoid only their second league defeat of the season and keep a two point lead at the top of the table after a 2-2 draw at Accrington.
The Spireites had looked down and out with 88 minutes gone when sub Deane Smalley appeared to have got just a consolation for John Sheridan's side, forcing the ball home while the Reds defence appealed for off-side.
But then, with just seconds left, Drew Talbot played a ball into the box and Boden beat the off-side trap to fire beyond Ian Dunbavin.
It was harsh on Stanley who opened the scoring after 10 minutes when Ian Craney sent Sean McConville into the area and his shot was pushed out by goalkeeper Tommy Lee back into the midfielder's path and he forced the ball home.
Despite then having possession the visitors never tested Reds keeper Dunbavin and they were made to pay when Stanley scored a second in the 24th minute. Craney, on loan from Fleetwood in what could be his last game for the Reds, broke down the right and played in the perfect cross for Terry Gornell to fire home from six yards out for his seventh goal of the season.
Stanley then took control and Craney had two chances to add to the score before the break as the league leaders looked out of sorts.
Chesterfield boss John Sheridan made three substitutions in the second half and his side huffed and puffed before two goals in the last four minutes salvaged a point.
