Coleman signs for Bury showdown Accrington manager John Coleman has extended the loan stay of Joe Jacobson ahead of his side`s clash against Bury but has had no such luck with Ian Craney. Stanley welcome the League Two high-flyers to the Crown Ground with Jacobson`s future secure after an agreement was made with parent club Oldham to prolong the defender`s stay until January 29, with a view to another extension until the end of the season. But midfielder Craney - a crowd favourite - misses out after Coleman was unable to strike a deal with non-league Fleetwood in time. Coleman has indicated he will make changes for Saturday`s outing after throwing away a two-goal lead against Chesterfield on Monday. The 2-2 draw left the boss frustrated and quartet Leam Richardson, Sean Hessey, Ray Putterill and Luke Joyce will hope for recalls. Winger Chris Turner misses out but is looking to return to training next week after a scan on his ankle revealed swelling and bone bruising. Bury extended the loan of Manchester United striker Nicky Ajose until the end of the season ahead of the game. The 19-year-old, who initially signed a one-month loan deal in September, has played 18 games so far this season at Gigg Lane and scored six goals. Defender Ben Futcher is back at Gigg Lane after a loan spell at Oxford but Gavin Gunning and Owain Fon Williams have returned to Blackburn and Stockport respectively. Ryan Lowe and Steven Schumacher are expected to shake off knocks in time for the trip to east Lancashire but Andy Bishop remains sidelined with tendonitis. David Worrall is back in training after a bout of swine flu and has been put on a special fitness programme.

Jacobson sinks Shakers Joe Jacobson celebrated a second month on loan at Accrington by scoring the winning goal in Stanley's 1-0 win over promotion-chasing Bury. The Oldham defender leapt above the Shakers defence to head home a Sean McConville corner in the 77th minute - his first goal for the Reds. Up until that point Bury keeper Cameron Belford had single-handedly kept out Stanley who are looking to climb out of the bottom half of the table. McConville was the first to test the visiting keeper on nine minutes with a long range effort which the stopper managed to hold onto. The Stanley midfielder then sent striker Terry Gornell free on 17 minutes and he got the better of the Bury defence before forcing another good save out of Belford. From the resulting corner, Jimmy Ryan struck from six yards out with the Shakers keeper again coming to their rescue, diving low to scrape it off the line. It was a series of Stanley attacks as the visitors struggled to get going with Phil Edwards sending through McConville whose scuffed effort was collected by Belford and Ryan curling a strike wide. Just before the break the Bury keeper kept out McConville and, immediately after, he superbly pushed out a Ryan free kick before Jacobson finally found a way past him. Bury are now winless in four league games, having slipped out of the automatic promotion slots.
