FULL TIME: SPURS 2-0 WEST HAM. Good work on the left from Bale almost gives Jenas a late chance but the final whistle goes as the Hammers clear. Easy for Spurs as West Ham looked to hae nothing left to give.
There are going to be three minutes of added time.
A little concern for Spurs as Lennon limps off after a rap on the ankles from Behrami to be replaced by Jermaine Jenas.
Another change for Spurs now as Gareth Bale replaces Benoit Assou-Ekotto who will now jet off to the African Cup on Nations.
Straight into the action Kranjcar as he robs Faubert and drives at the defence but he chooses to shoot and its blocked - much to the annoyance of Crouch who was waiting to be rolled in.
Spurs are finally making their first change now as Niko Kranjcar replaces Luka Modric - the phrase 'like for like' springs to mind.
Defoe is booked for his celebration as he piles into his own fans.
SPURS 2-0 WEST HAM. Now that is a rocket! Defoe smashes a shot goalwards that thumps Green's chest but he is first to react to the rebound and bashes it past Green this time. Game over!
Lively from Stanislas with his first touch as he barrels straight towards the underworked Corluka to force a corner.
Gianfranco Zola is making his final change now as Junior Stanislas replaces fellow academy product Jack Collison.
Nerves are starting to jangle for Spurs as West Ham begin to show signs of a response and as the ball drops for Kovac he tries a speculative strike that is not too far over in the end.
Another booking now as Radoslav Kovac picks up his third yellow of the season.
Lennon and Corluka combine again to take advantage of space on the left and as Defoe leaves it Crouch looks set to make it 2-0 but Tomkins gets a boot in to divert it away.
The cards are flying now as Corluka wipes out Diamanti and is the third name in the book.
Almost again for Spurs! Lennon wreaks havoc on the right once more and as the ball comes back across goal Corluka heads onto the roof of the net.
Diamianti follows Franco into the book.
Guille Franco picks up the first caution of the game for a foul on Palacios.
West Ham have improved a little as an attacking threat in recent minutes and Jimenez almost creates a chance for Collison but Gomes is smartly off his line.
Anyone remember when Juande Ramos labelled Tom Huddlestone fat? Well the boy is now a tank in the midfield for Spurs and he wins the ball again to set up another counter attack.
So close! Lennon and Corluka work the ball for Huddlestone whose run goes untracked into the box but his shot comes cannoning back off the base of the post.
He may have scored but Modric is definitely not match sharp yet as his touch has been a little off all day.
The onslaught is beginning as Spurs quick switch to Lennon stretches the Hammers back four and only a good block from Upson stops Palacios testing Green.
Aaron Lennon has looked dangerous all afternoon and he runs directly at the back four now but fires his shot over from the edge of the box.
Spurs have upped the tempo in the opening exchanges in this half with both Defoe and Huddlestone letting fly from range.
The second half is underway at the Lane.
HALF TIME: SPURS 1-0 WEST HAM. There goes the half-time whistle and Spurs look well on their way to three points as West Ham just don't seem to have enough left in them today.
There will be one minute of added time.
Almost an overdue second for Spurs as Defoe's bending free-kick has Green scrambling as it curls fractionally wide of the near post.
West Ham need half-time desperately but so perhaps do Spurs who have become a little complacent since the half hour mark.
Having claimed the left-back spot as his own earlier this season, Benoit Assou-Ekotto is quickly turning himself into a major component in this Spurs side with his marauding runs from left-back a la Evra or Cole.
When will West Ham learn that you can't give the ball away cheaply when Lennon and Defoe are free to counter and the pair combine here but Defoe's shot is weak.
Spurs attacking at will and Assou-Ekotto is involved once more but his low cross is behind Modric and the chance is gone.
What a burst from Palacios who squares for Crouch who thinks he has scored but the ball deflects wide off the back of a sliding Tomkins. Somehow the officials have given a goal kick but that was superb defending.
Another excellent move from Spurs with Assou-Ekotto at the heart of it to pick out Huddlestone's smart run but he drags his shot side.
Best moment for the Hammers as Jimenez and Collison work the ball well for the latter to fire at goal but Gomes has it watched all the way to make a comfy stop.
Upson and Franco seem to have recovered well enough as both appear to be moving quite well now.
Spurs are having it all their own way now and Defoe feeds the dangerous Lennon who cuts inside this time to tee up Huddlestone who slices narrowly wide.
Unbelievably there are two more limping now as Franco and Upson both start to look like they are having problems.
Will Spector be able to handle the threat of Lennon? We will find out over the next 70 minutes or so......
And they are making it now as Ilunga is forced off with an injury with Spector now on.
Oh dear! West Ham look like they will be making another change in a moment as Jonathan Spector is stripped and ready to enter the fray.
The Hammers need to steady themselves here and get a bit of a foothold in the game because Spurs could run riot if they don't.
Spurs are playing some fabulous keep ball now with Modric orchestrating things and only a poor touch from Defoe stops him being able to get off another shot.
Even worse news for West Ham now as Scott Parker has had to limp off and be replaced by Luis Jimenez.
SPURS 1-0 WEST HAM: Wow! Lennon burns his way passed Ilunga without a second thought and cuts the ball back where LUKA MODRIC is waiting to bundle the ball home. Great for the Croatian.
Clever football from Collison and a delightful backheel from Franco get Parker in behind but his shot, under pressure, is dragged wide.
Jack Collison has probably been the brightest spark for the Hammers in the early stages with some good touches on the right hand side.
And again! This time Diamanti is the victim of a Lennon nutmeg but the Italian fouls him before the England man can get too far.
Aaron Lennon has ben earning boundless praise this season and he shows again why with a smart nutmeg on Ilunga before earning a corner off Behrami.
A very slow and patient start as both sides struggle to get going.
And good news for Irons fans as Scott Parker does start.
Chris Foy is in charge today and he gets us underway in North London
It looks like Scott Parker has had to undergo a fitness test and although he is named in the starting lineup his manager has just suggested that it will be the player's decision on whether to play up until the final moment.
West Ham: Green, Faubert, Tomkins, Upson, Ilunga, Collison, Behrami, Kovac, Parker, Diamanti, Franco. Subs: Stech, Jimenez, Spector, Da Costa, Nouble, Payne, Stanislas.
Tottenham: Gomes, Corluka, Dawson, King, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Palacios, Huddlestone, Modric, Crouch, Defoe. Subs: Alnwick, Hutton, Bale, Jenas, Keane, Bassong, Kranjcar.
West Ham earned themselves three huge points on Boxing Day with victory over Portsmouth so Gianfranco Zola will be hoping to gain increased momentum here.
The big news for Spurs fans coming out of White Hart Lane is that Luka Modric is set to make his first start since suffering a broken leg in August.
