Poor play by Green and he so nearly costs his side. He dwells on a bak pass under pressure by Carew and has tu hurry a weak clearance straight to Agbonlahor. He finds Downing, who shoots from the edge of the box but it spins off Tomkins for a corner.
Noulbe forces Dunne into conceding a corner for the visitors. They work the ball to Stanislas on the edge of the area. His shot is headed wide by Carew and it should be another corner to the Hammers, but the referee awards a goal-kick.
Great cross by Diamanti from the right finds Stanislas at the far post. He fires it low back across goal and Collins turns it over. The ball could have ended up anywhere.
good pressure around the Villa area by West Ham. They work it wide to Fabuert on the right, but his low cross is cleared away. The Hammers might just be sensing they've weathered the storm from the home side.
Downing tries to play the ball past Faubert, but it flicks up onto Faubert's hand and it's a free-kick to Villa 25 yards out on the left hand side.
Great chance for Agbonlahor. Downing's cross picks out the Villa man inside the penalty area. He turns well, but fires over from a central position, just 10 yards out.
Nouble does well down the left. He cuts inside and shoots from a tight angle, but Friedel gets down low to his right to save.

Villa have a goal disallowed. Downing works space for a shot from the edge of the area. Green spills it and Carew follows up to prod home, but he was in an offside position when the shot first came in.
Kovac brings down Petrov from behind and the referee wants a word with him. If he wasn't already on a yellow card he'd have probably been shown one then. He'll need to be very careful for the remaining 30 minutes.

Good chance for Villa. Agbonlahor makes another good run down the left channel. He holds it up well and finds Heskey. He plays it across goal to the on-rushing Milner and his low shot is just wide from the edge of the area.
