Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo reiterated his faith in coach Antoine Kombouare on Wednesday, insisting he will not be sacked even if PSG lose at arch rivals Marseille.

"Kombouare is the coach," Leonardo told RMC radio.

"If we lose at Marseille, he'll still be the coach."

PSG currently lead Ligue 1 but lost their last match at home to Nancy and last week Leonardo revealed that he had admitted to Kombouare that he was in contact with former Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti.

"People don't just come to Paris to see me," explained Leonardo.

"I met 10 people. We never thought about hiring Carlo Ancelotti. Later on? I don't know.

"We could have changed coach before. (Keeping Kombouare) is a choice."

Despite PSG's positive start to the season, sources close to the club have told AFP that owners Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) are not convinced Kombouare has the right profile to take PSG forward.

PSG visit traditional foes OM, currently 10th in Ligue 1, on Sunday evening for their 15th game of the league season.
