Marseille announced on Monday that Cameroon international defender Stephane Mbia will be out for at least six weeks after suffering a foot fracture during Sunday's 2-2 draw at Auxerre.
The 25-year-old suffered the injury in the last minute of the game, and tests on Monday confirmed that he has fractured the fifth metatarsal of his left foot.
The news comes as a big blow to Didier Deschamps' side, who have drawn both of their Ligue 1 matches to date to lie four points adrift of early leaders Toulouse.
