Mansfield Town chairman James Derry has confirmed that the troubled League Two club is officially up for sale.
This season Stags fans have staged a number of protests over the running of the club by chief executive Keith Haslam, who has now decided to to sell his major shareholding in the Field Mill outfit.
"Mansfield Town Football Club is for sale," confirmed Derry in a statement.
"The major shareholder, Keith Haslam, has instructed that the following statement be made: "I am notifying all agencies of the media that the club is up for sale.
"There is no question about that and no-one should be left in any doubt whatsoever that this is my position.
"I look forward to receiving expressions of genuine interest and in the meantime my immediate responsibilities remain the players and staff and their continued financial security of the club."
