Mansfield Town boss Billy Dearden is looking forward to working with Bryan Hodge after completing the signing of the Blackburn Rovers teenager on a month's loan.

The Stags boss has been on the trail of Hodge for some time and is delighted to finally land the highly-rated 19-year-old midfielder.

"It's taken a bit of patience but we've finally got the green light that he can come here," Dearden told the Mansfield Chad.

"He's a central midfielder but can play anywhere along the midfield in a three.

"I was first recommended Bryan by Glynn Hodges and have seen him play for their reserves three or four times and have always been impressed by him.

"His pedigree is right but, at his age, he needs to be playing League football."
