Mansfield Town have confirmed that Paul Holland will remain in place as manager at Field Mill until the end of the season.
The Stags are seven points adrift of safety near the foot of League Two and face the prospect of dropping out of the Football League, a position which saw Billy Dearden axed earlier this month.
Holland took over and has seen his charges win one and lose three during his fledgling reign, earning him the chance to try and fashion a great escape.
Chief executive, Stephen Booth, told the club's official website: "We've had three good performances out of four matches under Paul's reign and I have thought long and hard about this decision.
"I am confident in Paul's abilities and hope that everyone associated with the club can get behind him."
