Relegation-threatened Mansfield Town failed to land two new players on loan on deadline day, after earlier allowing six players to leave the club.
Stags boss Paul Holland had been hoping to sign Sheffield United midfielder Nicky Law on loan, only for the teenager to suffer an injury in training on Thursday and also failed to snap up former Sheffield Wednesday striker David Graham.
Holland, who had opted to release John McAliskey, Martin McIntosh and Danny Reet, also agreed to loan out Danny Sleath and Ian Holmes on Thursday.
He was also willing to allow loanee Will Atkinson to return to Hull City.
