Mansfield Town left-back Gareth Jelleyman has agreed to take a pay cut after penning a new one-year contract with the Stags.
The 26-year-old former Peterborough United defender has been one of Town's most consistent performers in the last three seasons, and boss Billy Dearden is delighted he has pledged his future to the club.
"I'm very pleased that Jells has signed. He's taking a drop in wages which is rare in today's climate," Dearden told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"I think that shows how committed he is to the club - and the sort of lad he is.
"He just wants to play his football and he isn't too bothered about anything else.
"He's probably been one of my top three players since I came to the club and his signing is just as important as the two new lads coming in."
