Nicky in the Hunt for a Mansfield start
Mansfield captain Nicky Hunt will return to contention for the home game against York.
Right-back Hunt has been sidelined since mid-November with a hamstring problem and is expected to included in boss Adam Murray's plans.
Left-back Mal Benning is nearing his return to action following a knee injury but is not likely to be included in the squad.
Mansfield's Boxing Day game at Morecambe was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and Murray could name the same XI that started in the recent draw with Cambridge.
York's on-loan Arsenal defender Stefan O'Connor remains doubtful after sustaining a hamstring injury in the recent win against Morecambe.
Eddie Nolan was set to step in before the Minstermen's home game against Northampton on Boxing Day was also postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Emile Sinclair will not be included but is close to a return to action following a thigh injury, while fellow forwards Jake Hyde (hernia) and Michael Coulson (groin) are expected to be sidelined until January.
York halted a nine-game losing run in all competitions with victory over Morecambe nine days ago and won their only game on the road this season at Newport in September.
