Beevers blow for Stags
Lee Beevers looks likely to miss Mansfield's home game against Southend.
The Stags are awaiting results of a scan on Beevers' shoulder after he suffered a dislocation during the 1-1 draw at Plymouth last weekend. The defender had the same injury twice last season and will now consult a specialist to see whether an operation is necessary.
Ben Hutchinson made a scoring return from a hamstring injury for the reserve team this week and the midfielder is expected to be included in manager Paul Cox's squad on Saturday.
Striker Jake Speight has recovered from a lung infection only to see his knee problem return.
Barry Corr and Luke Prosser are in contention for Southend.
Striker Corr was forced off at half-time in last Friday's goalless draw at home to Newport suffering with double vision but is back in training and hoping for involvement.
Defender Prosser missed the clash against County having sustained a fractured cheekbone versus Dagenham, but he was due to undergo surgery on Thursday and should be cleared to play wearing a protective face mask providing there are no complications.
Luke O'Neill continues to miss out with his thigh problem, as does long-term absentee Julian Bennett (knee).
