Mansfield boss Steve Evans to ring the changes against Newport
Mansfield manager Steve Evans has said there will be changes for the visit of bottom club Newport.
One will be enforced, with defender Hayden White having to serve a one-match suspension following his red card in the defeat at Grimsby.
Evans has plenty of options available to him with the likes of Yoann Arquin, CJ Hamilton, Jamie McGuire, Joel Byrom, Lewis Collins and Danny Rose vying for recalls.
James Baxendale could be fit after illness but fellow defenders George Taft and Kyle Howkins remain unavailable. Taft has had a run-out for the reserves and could be back in first-team contention at the start of March but Howkins, on loan from West Brom, has a fresh niggle after playing for his parent club's development team.
Newport midfielder Mitch Rose is available for the trip despite the threat of punishment from the Football Association following his recent sending off against Cambridge.
Rose successfully appealed against the dismissal but has been asked by the Football Association to explain his actions following the dismissal, when the red card was knocked out of the referee's hand.
Midfielder Darren Jones is available again after completing a suspension.
Manager Graham Westley has hinted captain Scot Bennett and midfielder Sean Rigg could be close to returning from injury.
