Mansfield quartet back in contention for clash with Leyton Orient

Hayden White, Joel Byrom, Ben Whiteman and Shaq Coulthirst return to contention for Mansfield when they host Leyton Orient.

All four players were cup-tied for the EFL Trophy defeat to Wycombe in midweek and the quartet will probably be restored to the starting line-up.

Stags boss Steve Evans must then decide between Danny Rose and top scorer Matt Green to partner Coulthirst in attack.

Central defenders George Taft and Kyle Howkins remain out with respective hamstring and knee injuries and are not expected to resume training until mid-February.

Sam Dalby is set to make a belated comeback for Orient.

The striker was available for last weekend's scheduled clash with Morecambe after recovering from an ankle injury but was forced to wait another week after the match was postponed.

Nigel Atangana, Yvan Erichot and Teddy Mezague were all doubtful last weekend but will have benefited from an extra week's training.

Robbie Weir and Liam Kelly remain long-term absentees with knee and hamstring injuries, respectively.
