Double blow for Stags

Martin Riley and James Jennings have been added to Mansfield's list of injury absentees ahead of the visit of Fleetwood.

The pair had to be withdrawn during the 3-0 defeat at Oxford last weekend and could be looking at a month on the sidelines. Defender Riley has injured a quad muscle while midfielder Jennings has a tear in a calf muscle.

Louis Briscoe and Jake Speight remain out with back and knee problems respectively but Stags boss Paul Cox may have Lee Beevers back in contention after the defender missed the last two matches with a dislocated shoulder.

The likes of Ritchie Sutton, Ben Hutchinson, Lindon Meikle, Jamie McGuire, Colin Daniel and Ollie Palmer are all hoping for recalls.

Fleetwood's top scorer David Ball will hope to be back in the squad.

Ball, who has scored 11 times for the Cod Army this season, has missed the last three games with a knock but was described as "recovering well" by the club earlier in the week.

Boss Graham Alexander is not exactly shortly of attacking options with Jamille Matt (ankle) now back to full fitness and Jon Parkin and Mikael Mandron also available.

Midfielder Jeff Hughes will miss the rest of the season with a broken leg while midfielder Matty Blair is back at Highbury after an ankle injury cut short his loan stay with Northampton.
