Last-gasp Ryan Dickson strike secures vital victory for Yeovil

A stoppage-time winner by Ryan Dickson earned Yeovil a 1-0 win and three precious points at play-off chasing Mansfield.

The Stags did hit the bar, but revitalised Yeovil snatched it at the death as Dickson turned in a low cross by Brandon Goodship from the left from six yards.

On 14 minutes Artur Krysiak got down to parry a low Reggie Lambe shot from 20 yards, the clearance striking James Baxendale and sailing inches wide.

Lambe ballooned another chance over when he failed to properly control a low Adam Chapman corner while Connor Roberts' superb tackle stopped Matt Green racing clear.

The visitors' best moment came on 27 minutes when Nathan Smith fired a loose ball at goal, which Scott Shearer blocked, and Matt Dolan sent the follow-up wide.

On 71 minutes Lambe rattled the bar with an 18-yard curler and it was all Mansfield for much of the half.

Yeovil substitute Ryan Bird did force Shearer to save a fierce shot on 77 minutes before Dickson stole the points.
