Eighteen football 'supporters' have been charged following trouble that flared after the local derby between Chesterfield and Mansfield Town in September

Rival supporters tried to break through police lines at the end of Mansfield's historic 1-0 win at the Proact Stadium on 28th September, and trouble spilled onto the streets as both sets of fans left the ground.

Police on the day made a number of arrests, and have now confirmed 18 will be charged.

The men are due to appear at North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates Court in Chesterfield on Monday, December 16.
