WORLD CUP 2010: Ferdinand wants to put injury woe behind him ahead of World Cup finals

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is hoping his injury problems are now behind him as he focuses on helping England to World Cup glory. The 31-year-old has been named in Fabio Capello's squad for the finals in South Africa, despite a turbulent year hampered by injuries. 'It's not really the way you want thingsto go. I've never really had any serious injuries until the last 18months. It's hard to deal with, frustrating, but you've got to get onwith it. 'This is one of those stages I've been through and hopefully now I'm coming out the back end of it.
