Vucinic shuns English interest

The agent of AS Roma striker Mirko Vucinic has hinted strongly that his client will remain in the Italian capital next season.

The 25-year-old Montenegro international has been attracting interest from a number of clubs across Europe, but is content to stay put, with his current contract running until the summer of 2013.

"There are interests, especially from Premier League clubs, but no-one has officially contacted me," said Vucinic's agent, Alessandro Lucci.

"Mirko is very happy to remain at Roma. He recently renewed his contract.

"He is happy, the club is satisfied and hence, there are no reasons to consider Vucinic moving away from Roma.

"The club has never told me anything regarding any offers, but they did tell me they want to keep all the important players and Vucinic is one of them."
