Defender Nemanja Vidic has been omitted from the touring party for Manchester United's pre-season tour to Asia.
The Serbia defender was not part of the 22-man squad which flew out on Thursday but, while no official explanation has been given for his absence, it is believed that he is carrying a slight injury.
Vidic was forced to miss a World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands last month with an ankle injury.
The central defender is expected to be fit for the start of the Premier League season when United face Birmingham City on the opening day.
Elsewhere, new signings Luis Antonio Valencia and Michael Owen have been included in the touring party.
United face a Malaysia XI on Saturday in the first game of a four-match tour.
