Manchester United will be without defender Nemanja Vidic for their next two Premier League games following his red card against Liverpool.
The Serbia international had an afternoon to forget against the Reds after his mistake let in Fernando Torres for the equaliser before he was sent off in the 4-1 defeat at Old Trafford for a professional foul on Steven Gerrard.
Vidic will now miss two games as the red card offence carried a one-game ban, but his previous sending off against the same opposition at Anfield back in September means he will also miss a further game.
The towering centre-half will now miss next weekend's trip to Fulham and Aston Villa's visit to Old Trafford on April 5.
The Football Association's official website confirmed Vidic is: "suspended from all football until the club have completed two first-team matches for a sending off in a match played on 14/03/2009."
Vidic was also sent off in the final of the Club World Cup against LDU Quito in December but that red card had no baring on his domestic suspension.
