    Vidic fires title warning

    18 Nov 2008 - 08:20:06

Serbia international Nemanja Vidic believes Manchester United cannot be ruled out of the title race as they will be stronger in the second half of the season.

United are eight points behind Chelsea and Liverpool, although they do have a game in hand against Fulham, and have managed to win only two of their six Premier League games away from Old Trafford.

However, Vidic believes that, like last season, United will show more consistency as the campaign goes on and is certain they will be challenging for yet another title in May.

"I can only speak from experience but, after three years here, I know we are always better in the second half of the season," he said.

"We pick up the flow and our performances tend to improve. I hope it will be like that again.

"It is always about the second half of the season. That is when the games are decisive. That is when it is really tough.

"It is hard to say how Liverpool will handle it. All we can do is keep as close as we can and then push forward."
