Vidic certain of United future
04 Apr 2010 - 12:24:00
Manchester United's Serbian central defender Nemanja Vidic has again insisted that he will not be leaving Old Trafford before the end of his contract in 2012 at the earliest.
The 28-year-old was linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona earlier this season, but Vidic says that he is more than happy with life with the reigning Premier League champions.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: "I have never said I'd like to move to Madrid.
"I will definitely stay here until 2012 at least and then we have time to speak about whatever may happen in the future.
"I am enjoying it here and I think I've showed that on the pitch. For now, all I'm focused on is playing the game and doing my best.
"Media speculation can affect your concentration and I don't want that now.
"Maybe earlier in the season, because I had a few injuries, people started talking and saying 'he's not happy'. But none of it came from me.
"I'd like to win four league titles in a row because nobody's done it before in the English game and I want to make history."
