Vidic a doubt for Serbia

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic looks set to miss Serbia's World Cup qualifier against Faroe Islands on Wednesday after suffering an ankle injury against Austria last night. The 27-year-old was substituted after sustaining the problem in the first half of the 1-0 win, which saw the Serbians open up a five-point gap over France at the Group Seven summit. Coach Radomir Antic is "not very optimistic" about the centre-back's availability for the midweek trip to Torshavn.
