Van Persie Out Of Germany Game

Robin van Persie has pulled out of the Holland squad to play Germany on Wednesday night after picking up a thigh injury at the weekend

The striker lasted the full 90 minutes of the 3-2 win over Aston Villa and even helped out with an assist for Javier Hernandez's late winner.

But the Dutchman has withdrawn from international duty due to injury.

Holland will be seeking revenge against their long-time rivals given that they were beaten 2-1 by Germany at Euro 2012 and thrashed 3-0 in a friendly between the teams in November of last year.
