Valencias agent confirms Real deal but hints winger would prefer Old Trafford

Antonio Valencia's agent confirmed Sportsmail's exclusive report that Real Madrid have lodged a £21.5million bid for the winger - but hinted the Wigan star may prefer to stay in England with Manchester United. A £20m deal is agreed in principle with United for the Ecuadorean, 23, but Madrid have now raised the stakes. Agent Diego Herrera said: 'When will Antonio leave? It will take two or three weeks, certainly no more than that. 'Wigan know this is an important deal for them. They will speak to the player and look at the options.'
