Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is set to recall Giuseppe Rossi from his loan spell at Newcastle United after growing disillusioned with his player's lack of first-team opportunities at St James' Park.
The 19-year-old has started only two Premiership games for Glenn Roeder's side since moving to the north-east in August, to Ferguson's obvious disappointment.
"Giuseppe will come back to us because he's just not getting enough football at Newcastle," he said.
"The understanding we had with them was that he would play more games.
"Every manager is subject to their own opinions on players, so I don't want to say too much about that. But we could have done with him here, so he might as well come back to us."
Ferguson agreed to sign Henrik Larsson earlier this week to bolster his side's attacking options.
