Manchester United are expected to sign France starlet Gabriel Obertan, according to his current club Bordeaux.
President Jean-Louis Triaud claims the Red Devils are hot on the trail of the 20-year-old winger and that he fully expects the youngster to move to Old Trafford.
The France Under-21 international struggled to make an impact at Bordeaux under former United defender turned coach Laurent Blanc last season but is still regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Ligue 1.
AC Milan and Internazionale have both been linked with moves for Obertan in recent times.
"There is a very strong likelihood that the deal will go ahead," revealed Triaud.
"Manchester United want to sign him and, for our part, we would be delighted to see Gabriel playing for such a prestigious club.
"We will make the official announcement when the time is right."
