United still sweet on Owen

Manchester United look set to renew their interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves in the January transfer window.
The England international was widely expected to leave the Bundesliga bound for Old Trafford in the summer, but Bayern's refusal to sell their £20million rated midfielder put paid to any transfer.
However, despite the 25-year-old breaking his leg last month, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is still casting admiring glances towards the Allianz Arena.
Hargreaves too has spoken publicly about his desire to join United and the deal could be resurrected in the New Year.
"If we had got Owen Hargreaves it would have given us a complete variation of the type of midfield players you need in the modern game," said the United manager.
"We focused on Michael Carrick and Owen right away (during the close season). We got one and didn't get the other.
"We are disappointed we didn't get Owen, but we have people like Darren Fletcher and John O'Shea developing."
