United set for Ramsey fight

Manchester United have reportedly been joined by Arsenal and Everton in their pursuit of Cardiff City starlet Aaron Ramsey. The Old Trafford club revealed on Tuesday that they had agreed a fee - believed to be in the region of £5million - for the highly-rated Wales Under-21 international. However, Cardiff have revealed that they have received three bids from unnamed Premier League clubs for the 17-year-old midfielder. The Bluebirds are believed top favour a deal with the Red Devils as they are understood to be ready to let the teenager remain on loan at Ninian Park next season. Ramsey, who was a second-half substitute in last month's FA Cup Final defeat to Portsmouth, has made 22 appearances for the Championship club. "We can confirm that on 3 June the club has received formal bids from three top Premier League teams for Aaron Ramsey," read a club statement. "And Aaron has been given permission to speak to two of these teams. "One of these teams is Manchester United, though at this stage we can confirm that no deal has been done and the player has not yet agreed terms."
