United seal Kuszczak deal

Manchester United have sealed the signing of Poland international goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak from West Bromwich Albion.

The 24-year-old moves to Old Trafford on an initial season-long loan, with a permanent deal likely to follow.

Albion have signed United duo Paul McShane and Luke Steele on three-year contracts as part of the deal, while Kuszczak's switch to Old Trafford has allowed Ben Foster to seal his return to Watford on a season's loan.

Sir Alex Ferguson told the club's official website: "Tomasz will add good quality to the squad.

"He has plenty of ability and knows what challenges the Premiership presents. I am sure he will benefit from working alongside a great keeper like Edwin van der Sar.

"I am pleased that Ben Foster will be able to play regular first-team football at Watford and I'm sure he will continue to develop as a top-flight goalkeeper."
